Baltimore police ask for help identifying suspect in May 22 assault

BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an assault that occurred on May 22 in the city’s downtown area.

The incident took place in the unit block of Market Place. Investigators say the suspect is a Black male, estimated to be between 20 and 30 years old. At the time of the assault, he was wearing all black clothing.

Authorities did not release additional details about the nature of the assault or whether the victim sustained injuries. The investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is asked to contact detectives at 410-396-2076. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP or by dialing 911.

Police continue to seek leads in identifying a man involved in a downtown Baltimore assault.
