Jackson, NJ — Pebbles, a four-year-old brindle dog at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, remains one of the shelter’s longest residents after months of waiting for adoption.
Found as a stray, Pebbles arrived at the shelter many months ago and quickly won the hearts of staff with her wagging tail, bright smile, and affectionate nature. Now weighing just over 40 pounds, she is described as an energetic, loving dog who enjoys playing ball, running trails, and relaxing with people.
Though her energy and affection make her a favorite among staff, Pebbles needs to be the only pet in a home and would do best in a household with older children. Shelter staff note that she has passed all her behavioral assessments and does not exhibit resource guarding but can be reactive to other animals.
Pebbles ready for immediate adoption in Ocean County
Pebbles is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccinations. She is currently available for adoption at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, located at 615 Freemont Avenue in Jackson. The shelter is open daily from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
A partnering rescue organization has committed to supporting any adopter through the process.
