Gunfire erupts on Cranberry Street, man rushed to hospital

HARRISBURG, PA — An investigation is underway after a man was shot early Sunday morning in the 200 block of Cranberry Street, according to the Harrisburg Bureau of Police.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 2:45 a.m. on May 11. Upon arrival, they located evidence of a shooting but learned the victim had already been transported by private vehicle to a local hospital.

Additional officers were dispatched to the hospital, where they made contact with the adult male victim. His condition has not been disclosed, and authorities have not released further details about the nature of his injuries.

Police seek tips as shooting probe continues

A crime scene was secured on Cranberry Street as detectives began processing evidence and canvassing the area for witnesses. The investigation remains active, and no arrests have been announced.
