JESSUP, Md. — A woman was killed Friday afternoon in a four-vehicle crash in Jessup after a stolen car collided head-on with her vehicle, according to Howard County police.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:06 p.m. on Guilford Road near Twelve Sons Court. Police said a 2017 Hyundai Sonata traveling eastbound attempted to pass a 2021 Tesla Model Y that was turning left, crossing a double yellow line and sideswiping the Tesla. The Hyundai then sideswiped a 2010 Honda Fit before crashing head-on into a 2021 Honda Civic.

Four juvenile males inside the stolen Hyundai fled the scene on foot, authorities said. One of the juveniles was injured and transported to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. His condition is listed as serious but stable. The other three remain unaccounted for.

The driver of the Honda Civic, an adult woman, was transported to Howard County General Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported in the incident.

Police have confirmed that the Hyundai Sonata involved in the crash had been reported stolen. The investigation remains ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time.

Search continues for juveniles who fled scene

Guilford Road was closed for approximately four hours at Mission Road while investigators processed the scene and cleared debris. Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.

Anyone with information about the incident or the juveniles involved is urged to contact Howard County police. Surveillance footage from the area is being reviewed as part of the investigation.
