Woman robbed at gunpoint by three suspects in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A 50-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint late Thursday night while walking on South Main Street, according to police.

Officers on patrol were approached by the victim at approximately 11:04 p.m. She told police that three unidentified male suspects confronted her near the 400 block of South Main Street. One of the suspects allegedly displayed a firearm and demanded her belongings.

The victim reported that the suspects took her cellphone, a credit card, and a pack of cigarettes before fleeing the scene. Their direction of travel was not disclosed.

Authorities have not released additional details about the suspects, other than that they were all described as Black males of unknown age. No injuries were reported.

The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident.
